Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW) has been extensively involved in the technical research and implementation of state-of-the-art renewable energy technologies, as well as active involvement in many local, national and international networks and partnership projects in the field of renewable energies and higher education (e.g. RENET, INSPIRE, BIOCROPS-Network). HAW has established a competence centre for renewable energies and energy efficiency (CC4E), and is a leading institution in terms of education and raising awareness on renewable energies.
