LFS.suburban rounds off EPG’s overall LFS system, as a comprehensive, central solution for digital transport planning and control. The new tool delivers manufacturer-independent orchestration of transport jobs in the warehouse. High-level advanced planning is run on the basis of existing orders and the available systems. The actual warehouse equipment in use is not important, as the solution coordinates and controls automated guided vehicles, forklifts and static material handling technology in a similar way to a route planning system, significantly reducing the complexity of intralogistics transport management. It also increases the efficiency of order processing, as all conditions in the warehouse are taken into account in planning. LFS.suburban uses a digital warehouse map, which is a virtual twin of the warehouse and contains a digital record of all information, such as routes, warehouse technology and restrictions. It is created with a 3D laser scanner, which also records the logistics areas, such as buffer locations and shelving systems in the warehouse.
