Company Profile

Starlinger

Starlinger leads the world market in production machinery for sacks, packaging fabrics, and technical textiles woven from plastic tapes. The company has been in this business for 45 years and also looks back at more than 25 years’ development and production experience in recycling machinery for plastics.

European competence - solution oriented

Since the early 1970’s Starlinger is supplying high-quality machines for woven plastic packaging production, i. e. coated or uncoated standard woven sacks, leno sacks, valve sacks, FIBC’s (Big Bags), or AD*STAR® block bottom valve sacks. Sacks produced on Starlinger machines are in use worldwide for safe and low-cost packaging of various bulk goods, e.g. cement, chemicals, seeds, grain, flour, sugar, citrus fruits, fertilizer, animal feed, and similar products.

Starlinger’s proven competence in plastics recycling is met with increasing interest in Central Asia. The Business Units Starlinger recycling technology and Starlinger viscotec have built a strong reputation as providers of advanced process technology for the recycling and refinement of a wide range of plastics such as PE, PP, PA, PS, BOPP and PET. Leading in the field of PET recycling and refinement, Starlinger recycling systems and solid state polycondensation (SSP) reactors produce food-safe recycled PET and HDPE which is approved for use in food applications by many brand owners as well as various national and international authorities.

新发展和state-of-the-art technology in packaging and recycling pays off: Cement producers, for example, could significantly reduce breakage rates of cement sacks all along the logistic chain due to the introduction of AD*STAR® woven polypropylene sacks, developed and internationally patented by Starlinger. Other innovative packaging product developments include pinch bottom bags, reusable shopping bags, or FFS (Form, Fill & Seal) sacks made of woven polypropylene fabric.

Recycling allows to turn plastic production scrap and post-consumer waste into a valuable secondary resource, helping plastic producers or authorities concerned with waste disposal to cut down raw material costs and to improve waste management.

Both technical and product development at Starlinger are aimed to achieve the highest quality standards for the respective applications while being cost-efficient and environmentally sustainable.
