    The headquarters of HORSCH Maschinen GmbH

    The farm Sitzenhof in Schwandorf is the headquarters of HORSCH Maschinen GmbH. Michael Horsch tinkered here on his first machines already in 1981. HORSCH Maschinen GmbH was founded in 1984 and originated from a farm, the present headquarters of the HORSCH Maschinen GmbH.

    HORSCH is centrally administrated from its location in Sitzenhof. Product development and management, marketing, sales, purchasing, finance, central service, painting and final assembly of certain products and a distribution center are located here. Today, approximately 280 employees work in the headquarters. Mainly small product lines and prototypes are produced in Schwandorf. Thus, the proximity to the construction department is used extensively here.

                    The What are the outstanding features of the Express KR?

                    Express KR is the first pneumatic HORSCH three-point seed drill with an active tillage tool: the integrated rotary harrow Kredo. Even under difficult conditions it allows for an intensive seedbed preparation. The rotary harrow Kredo has 10 rotating tools on 3 m working width. Its stable design is ideal even on stony soils. With quick-change tines it can be equipped with drag or TerraGrip tines. The fine-step adjustment of the working depth of the rotary harrow is easily accessible from the outside and is clearly visible. The adjustment of the levelling bar, too, is very easy.
                    There are 2 packer versions for the Express KR. The tooth packer roller with a large diameter of 64 cm is ideal for all conditions. The load carrying capacity is high even on light soils which influences the horse power requirement and the diesel consumption in a positive way. The trapeze ring packer has a diameter of 50 cm for a target strip consolidation in front of every seed coulter. It forms a perfect seed furrow even under heavy and cohesive conditions.

The only difference is that the seed is injected directly into the distribution system. The fan, too, is an in-house development and very quiet. These features allow for a very compact design of the machine. The MiniDrill is available for all Terrano FX three-point models (3 to 5 m working width) and for all Joker CT (3 to 6 m working width). Efficiency while sowing catch crops is considerable as only one pass is necessary for cultivation and sowing. Thus, the MiniDrill is an optimum solution for greening.
