Vanderlande and its newly formed business unit Vanderlande Advanced Passenger Checkpoints (APC, formerly Optosecurity Corp.) have got approval from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for their Automated Security Lane (ASL) solution integrated with Smiths Detection’s aTiX X-ray. The approval came shortly after Vanderlande received TSA approval of its ASL integrated with the Rapiscan 620DV. Vanderlande’s ASL is the first solution to be approved for use on both of TSA’s primary X-ray systems.
